Anti-atomic energy demonstration in Berlin I

The current German government voted earlier this month an extension of the allowed working time of the German atomic reactors.

This contradicts the decision that was made almost ten years ago by the Schröder government, and that stipulated on phasing out the nuclear reactors by 2020.

People are angry about this decision all over germany, especially that security is an issue (atomic reactors are a potential target for terrorists) and that there is no solution to treat atomic waste.

Today there is a big demonstration in Berlin, people are mobilized from all 16 federal states to express their disappointment and their strong disagreement with this decision.

I am now on the way from Marburg to Berlin with many colleagues from Wagner and Co. and I will try to keep you updated every hour with a video from the demo.
