Foreign tourists exempted from VAT in Tunisia
La réforme fiscale prévue durant la période 2010-2014 prévoit, entre autres, la mise en place d’un régime de restitution de la taxe sur la valeur ajoutée au titre des achats effectués par les touristes étrangers en Tunisie.
Whyyyyyyyyyyy???? As if Tunisia was not attractive enough for foreign (mainly european) tourists to do shopping, or as if we had more money than needed.
Isn’t in enough that we are selling holidays for less than the cost to ensure some foreign currency, now we decided we’ve had enough of the currency, come for less than the cost and dont pay taxes!!!
I really can not get the point of such a law and I would be grateful to anyone who can explain…
